Sir Alex Ferguson’s last Old Trafford XI

De Gea; Jones, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra; Welbeck, Carrick, Scholes, Kagawa; Hernandez, Van Persie

My whole life i’ve been a Man United supporter, and since 1989 all i have known is Man Utd & Sir Alex, intertwined together providing much success and many memories, unbelievable memories in fact. It is going to be extremely strange to see the term ‘Manchester United Manager’ next to a new name, but we all knew his time was coming to an end soon.

I wish Sir Alex many congratulations for the success he has had during his football career, and also a thank you for his loyalty and drive and will to succeed, and bringing to the club an attitude to ‘Never-Give-Up’ and to ‘Give their all to team and its cause’. His style of management will never be replicated, he is simply a one-off, he is simply a great, and he is an absolute inspiration, not just in footballing terms, but he is an inspirational person who we could all learn from. The Manchester United you see today is the club he built from top to bottom. A dynasty.

His last game for Man Utd will be his 1,500th. He is the longest serving manager of MUFC (26+years). He has won a total of 49 trophies (38 with United). His trophy cabinet consists of 13 PL titles, 2 European Cups, 5 FA Cups. He is the first manager to lead an English team to a Treble success in ‘99).

Thank you Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson.

Rudimentals album ‘Home’, absolute gem, one of the best albums i’ve ever heard. Classic. On repeat.
